Labor Day weekend

Auntie K and Uncle E came to visit the weekend of Labor Day. They actually left early in the morning on the day before Labor Day, so we didn't actually spend the holiday with them, but they came Wednesday to Sunday. Auntie K "surprised" me by telling me they were farther away than they were and walked right into the house as the kids were getting home. That was fun. She likes her surprised. :)
That evening, Bucko had a Court of Honor where he received his Life rank.
We visited Garden of the Gods while they were here.
And we had to stop at Rizuto's for ice cream after!
We also went to the Air Force Academy chapel.
The kids all thought it was cool to stand so it looked like they had angel wings.
And we ended that day with cascarones we still had left over from Easter!
The balloon festival was that weekend as well, so we woke up early on Saturday morning to watch them ascend. We had never gone before but the kids really liked it, so we might have to make it a tradition.

On Sunday, the kids wanted to make sugar cookies, so they did it all by themselves!
And on Labor Day, we went down the road to PC's brother's house for a barbeque with the Colemans. What a great weekend!
