Our good friends from Utah came to visit this week! They got here Wednesday evening, and we had taco salad for dinner and got everyone settled. On Thursday, we went to Black Forest Park. We set up hammocks, played corn hole and frisbee, and had a picnic lunch.
On Friday, it was calling for rain but we decided to head to Garden of the Gods in the morning.
We stopped for Chick-fil-A for lunch. That evening, they went to visit family so we dogsat Sunni. She's so sweet!
Saturday we headed out to Homestead Ranch park.
Sunday was Father's Day. We had church at home with them, of course. The kids sang Daddy's Homecoming for their dads and we watched video talks from our Bishop and high councilman. He talked about this meme and I just love the reminder!
We had a cookout in the evening at Nana and Papa's house.
Monday, we went to Fox Run park. The kids did a nature scavenger hunt, relaxed in hammocks, and had a lot of fun together. We went to Rizuto's for ice cream afterwards.
Or was our friend's birthday that day too, so we celebrated with dinner and cake.
The kids had a lot of fun playing games every night or afternoon they got a chance. A lot of Nertz was played this week!
Their last day here, we headed up to the mountains and stopped at Helen Hunt falls for a picnic, then hiked Seven Bridges. We got a bit of rain and hail, but it was a beautiful hike.
Such a fun week! So grateful for good friends and this time we could spend together.
