February

On February 10, we got a couple inches of snow but also the frozen fog on everything. I just love how it turns everything into a beautiful winter wonderland. The little girls helped me sweep the snow. They are just so much fun!
February 17--Bucko had his first girl/boy game time. They played a couple board games and then ended up on the trampoline and down at the park. It's so nice to have good friends to hang out with!

Blue and Gold

We had the Cub Scout blue and gold banquet tonight at the church. They asked the boys to decorate a cake that related to scouting, so the younger three girls and Goofy made a campfire cake. I think it turned out great!
The had a carnival theme with games. This one you had to walk the plank with an eye patch. Shortcake tried so hard to do it by herself! I love her concentration!

Goofy turns 10!

Because of President's Day, the kids didn't have school on Goofy's birthday this year. So after swimming at the pool with cousins in the morning, we went to the mall for Chick-fil-a for lunch.
Goofy asked for the cookies 'n cream cake, and he was so excited to get a drone for his birthday. (Sorry the picture is so dark, but his facial expressions were awesome!)

Bucko is 14!

How the time does fly! Bucko turned 14 and was ordained a Teacher after church today. He is a wonderful young man, and I am so happy to be his mother.
Tink was also set apart as the new Laurel class President after Bucko's ordination. What great kids!
Bucko asked for triple chocolate bundt cake for his birthday. We had a great dinner of beef stragonoff as well.

Sunny Day Party

We were selected to be the hosts of a Sunny Day party from House Party. Shortcake loves Sunny Day, so we were really excited to host one and just turned it into a birthday party as well for her and her friends. Here are some of the decorations:
They sent us a DVD, book, hair clips, hair chalk, activity books, and more to help throw the party. The girls all loved it.
It was a lot of fun, but having 13 girls aged 5 and under all together for two hours was exhausting!

Valentine's Day Class Party

I love being the Home Room Parent in Goofy's class! Planning the parties is just so much fun! We had to do our classic "Pin the Heart on Mr. C" game. It's his favorite game because he gets to keep the poster at the end!
We played a lot of Minute-to-win-it games. The kids all had a blast. I had Bucko and Minnie there to help me, which was great because I only had one parent there to help. Lots of fun though!

Shortcake turns 5!!

The day before Shortcakes's birthday, we went out to Red Robin for a birthday date. They even sang to Shortcake and gave her a birthday ice cream sundae. She was so excited for them to do that for her, but she was so embarrassed when it actually happened. Luckily, there weren't many people there at the time or she would have been even more embarrassed at being the center of attention.
A friend of ours threw a Valentine's party for all the younger kids the day of her birthday. They had a lot of fun giving and receiving valentines from their friends.
She asked for the brownie cake with the chocolate chips on top for her birthday cake.
And even though we had gotten together with family the Sunday before to celebrate the February birthdays, she really wanted her cousins to come over for cake and presents. SO nice to have them so close! Shortcake got a Shimmer and Shine costume, a Moana necklace, and a couple Stack-ems.

Birthday Girl

I had the most amazing birthday this week. On Sunday, they announced the birthdays for the week in Relief Society and when they said that mine was on Thursday, they made a joke saying if anyone wanted to TP my house, to do it on Thursday. I jokingly replied that if they did that, to just make sure they kept it nice and neat so that I could roll it up later and use it! Well, early on Thursday, the first of several packages/rolls of TP was dropped off at our door. Many came with bows, notes, cards, and even candy! I have never felt so loved from my ward sisters as I did that day. I went visiting teaching that morning and my friend made me a card and candy holder. My sister-in-law dropped off a frozen dinner for me to use when I wanted. Two of my friends took me out for lunch at Panera while another friend watched my girls. PC made me striped delight and bought me a backpack so we can go backpacking with the kids this summer. It was such a nice day. I got texts and messages all day long.

(Rosie fell asleep before we got to the cake, so she isn't in any of our pictures for the night.)
